I've been teaching since 1982 and have danced for over 30 years. I have worked with beginners all the way through to very advanced World Class dancers. I enjoy all of these students and don't really have a preference.
Before we begin a first lesson we sit and discuss the student's goals, experience, and what they feel are their weaknesses and strengths. I ask them if they learn by mimicry or by hearing concepts.. It's important for me that I know how my student learns and that my student learn to learn as quickly as possible. I also want to know if the student needs to dance around the floor and be active, or if they are content to learn technique first and get into dancing a lot later. Both of these ways work well, it's just what the student wants.
I am currently opening up my schedule to take on new students at the Panache School of Ballroom and Social Dance. I can work with any level and can work on social, competitive, or showcase styles.
Please contact me to arrange lessons or to discuss questions you may want answered before scheduling a lesson.
